While Southwestern Missouri may not be the first vacation spot that comes to mind, it should not be overlooked. If you like lakes, boating, fishing, tanning and the charm of small towns, then any of the Ozark Lakes are right for you! Imagine the ideal lake vacation on lakes with minimal pollution and crowds. My favorite lake in the area (so far) is Bull Shoals Lake.
The lake itself is beautiful and the lodging available for guests is plenty. If you wanted to rent and stay in your own cabin, or stay in a more bed and breakfast type home- both are available. The site is great too because in addition to information about where to stay, and marinas, they give fishing and weather reports for the area.
